Techie Turned Gym Bro
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned my BA in Linguistics from UC Santa Cruz before starting a career in the text-to-speech industry. Tech was fast paced and ambitious, and like many people in that world, I struggled to make my health consistent.
Long hours and constant deadlines made fitness feel optional. I would start strong, fall off, and start again. Eventually, I realized something simple. If my training did not have real structure, it would not survive my schedule.
So I built one.
I stopped relying on motivation and started relying on strategy. Clear programming. Repeatable sessions. Steady progression. My energy improved, my stress dropped, and I became curious about what my body was capable of. That curiosity led me to powerlifting, and in 2023, I competed on the national platform for the first time.
The real shift was not competing. It was understanding that strength is a skill, and skills improve with structure.
I became a certified personal trainer in 2017 and left tech in 2020 to coach full time. Now, I help busy, capable people build training systems that work in real life. Not programs that demand perfection or endless time. Just simple, structured coaching that creates consistent progress.
If you have struggled to make fitness stick in a demanding life, I know how to build something that will.
